The 3/4 oz. load is a good performer for practice inside 40 yds. and very economical. My best performing load after trying several different components is 8 1/2's @ 1325fps. I finally settled on Noble Sport Vectan A24 powder (18 grs.) with a cheddite and AA or Rem. hull and CB0175-12 wad. This load gives a good crimp and stack height.Unlike spherical propellants in the past, Titewad features low charge weights, mild muzzle report, minimum recoil and reduced residue for optimum ballistic performance. This outstanding propellant, designed for 12-gauge only, meters superbly and is ideal for 7/8, 1 and 1-1/18oz loads. As the name implies, a little goes a long way.

With the Fio 616 primer, go straight to 20 grains, and back off if you think it's too hot. There are a number of published loads for Titegroup for both 1 ounce and 1 1/8 ounce.Extra-lite will be a bit better as it has the same density as Red Dot. I use Nitro 100 and it is a dense powder on the same scale as Titewad but I use 7/8 oz. wads (Purple Duster). As far as one powder "working" better than another, as long as the data recommends the powder for use in 7/8 oz. loads, they all will "work."
